California Maritime Academy

The challenges on this project were working around staff as the academy remained open and functioning.

We worked in the library, café, auditorium, administrative offices, medical clinic, dorms and the captains residence to install a variety of flooring products. We also had to apply moisture sealing in various areas where necessary.

It’s always a challenge installing flooring when a business needs to remain open during construction. This was the case with Peerless, but everyone was cooperative and the project was completed without any issues.

Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort

With over 100,000 sq. ft. of broadloom carpet installed in this vacation resort, our team was ready and willing to tackle the job.

Following new construction remodel in phases and our crews needed lodging during their installation periods. Parts of the resort remained open, so working around and avoiding disruption of the guests was challenging at best.

Feather Falls Casino - Protectall Kitchen Installation

This was a special project because the material for the kitchen was Protectall, specifically made for this type of application.

Our installers are certified with Protectall, the only way you are able to purchase and install this brand of flooring. The casino was open and running during the construction and installation of the floors.

Six Flags - Dolphin Discovery

Our team installed sheet vinyl coved with heat-welded seams in many areas to include the Dolphin Experience area, along with the veterinary hospital.

Water was an obvious issue at the Dolphin Experience, along with the need for relative quiet so as not to alarm the dolphins and other animals. Our installers were sensitive to this and completed the installation as quietly and efficiently as possible.

We also were required to work when the park was closed during off hours, – the upside is we experienced the animals without the crowds!

The Keys

This project had many hoops to jump through, including several rolls of broadloom carpet getting stolen off the job site. While we were waiting for the product replacements to arrive, we moved onto another part of the building so as to not disrupt the schedule.

An occupied installation with residents living at The Keys at the time of installation, it was crucial our team was especially sensitive to the people living there. Additionally, each building had their own HOA president which meant adhering to different policies from building to building.
